Being an entrepreneur requires to be innovative. Nowadays, as technology evolves so as business. We need to be more innovative in a way that we adapt to new and what is trend and more useful nowadays. The past has become obsolete and cannot go with the trend that is why we need to be innovative.
According to Eric Ries, The Lean Startup “The biggest waste of all is building a product our costumers refuse to use” relayed by Ms. Monica S. Mabaylan-Ruiz, this means that our products must be according to the needs and wants of our costumers because in the end our costumers’ choice is our top priority. If we invest on building huge products, no matter how expensive it is if our costumer doesn’t like it, it would be just a waste. So how do we prevent this? It is by assuring and knowing the relevance of the product to the costu
mers.
There are four steps in Costumer Discovery. First, Frame a Hypothesis. This means that we must acknowledge the problem and think of a better solution. What are the problems of our community and what would be the solution. Second, Define your costumers or know your costumers. Who will buy your product? What are their interests? What are the challenges/frustrations? The steps taken to fix the challenges, motivations and info. It is very important that we know who our clients and what are their needs in order to facilitate them properly. Third, Ask good questions. It is important to hear from our costumers through interviews and then we ask open-ended questions. Never ask them questions that are just answerable by “yes” or “no”. Fourth and the last, Evaluate and Refine. Evaluate our solutions and refine if needed.
Enterprise is not all about the entrepreneurs, it is about our costumers. Costumers are always right as they say and true enough businesses are useless if not of our costumers and as entrepreneurs, we need to be innovative and know our costumers well.
